The Home Design Shop is a residential design studio based in South Wales, founded by Tom Williams.

The studio focuses on the careful refurbishment, extension and reworking of family homes, creating spaces that feel natural, practical and closely connected to the way people live.

Each project is approached individually, with an emphasis on light, proportion, materiality and a strong sense of place.

Inspired by the Welsh coast, traditional craftsmanship, restrained design and mid-century architecture, The Home Design Shop brings together warmth, simplicity and thoughtful detailing. The aim is not simply to create more space, but to make existing homes work better, feel better and endure.

Every project is considered a collaboration, working closely with clients, consultants and builders to develop clear, considered designs that balance ambition with practicality.
